GROUP TRAVEL: DO YOU HAVE WALKIE TALKIE

If you travel in group, walkie talkie is very useful to keep in touch with your group members. There are a lot of walkie talkie which you can buy or rent for your travel. (But I don’t know where to rent a walkie talkie in Kelantan).

Until now, I found that most of my guest who are travel in group use walkie talkie to get connected with their group members during their visit. This is a cheaper option as compared to roaming costs on cell provider, yet we do not need any licence to use it. So for a small group, two pair of walkie talkie are enough. It will help you to track where your group members and also helps you to get to places or activities on time.

Choosing the type of walkie talkie will be difficult due to large range of choices in the market with different techonology. You should take consiration of weather channels, mile range head, set transceivers and wrist communicators. It is important to ensure that you buy the best walkie talkie that suite your needs.

The mile range is very important. The same as battery consumption, rechargeable models are good for uses and better if come with changeable battery.

However, some people may found that walkie talkie may become obsolete or useless at the advent of the mobile phones. This is however totally wrong because in certain instances, two way radio is far more useful especially in no coverage area.

PS: While searching on the best walkie talkie for travelers, I found this one. Great features and highly rated by users. You may also consider this if you want to buy a walkie talkie. From Midland.
