My favourite Joomla extensions

In this post I will share some of my best Joomla extentions that I use on my Joomla websites. Joomla is a content management system (CMS) like WordPress, but WordPress is more popular for blogging purpose as what I am doing here. Joomla is more popular for organizations, business and so on, as used by UiTM Kelantan.

Joomfish: Multilingual content management

I use Joomfish to provide my visitors with two language in my site. We also can use Google Translate but my experience with Google Translate is that its not give the meaning that I want in that particular language. For example if I translate from English to Malay language, then the meaning in Malay language is not what I want. As alternative, I use Joomfish and translate on our own. It is better than Google Translate because we can control it and makes correction if necessary.

JForm to create form

This is the most easiest form plugin I ever used. What you see is what you get (WYSISYG) form creator. Even newbie can use it. Just click, drag and some editing needed. Created by Mosmar, free of charge. hoho Most of the extensions are free actually, only some plugin come with price. Then the date key in the form by your visitor can be forwaded  to your mailbox and no need to check at the back end administrator of your Joomla website.

Phocagallery for images

Another easy to use tool for your images. Very easy, believe me. Its includes components, modules, and plugin and allow you to display images or videos from Youtube in different styles. For images, you can use its components. To insert images in articles or post in your website, you can use its plugin. Show images as slideshows or in album, or put it on module positions in your website. And if you go Phoca website, you can see a lot more Phoca extentions for Joomla.

Most important, they are all free (^,^)
