New trend in business nowadays, if you don’t have Facebook and Twitter account.. it sound weird because most of us Facebooking all days and Tweeting all things. So business owners start reaching us via Facebook and Twitter.
What am I doing today?
A simple comparison between AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines System at Social Media or also known as Web 2.0.
AirAsia on Facebook have 483,156 fans, and on Twitter with 50,810 followers*.
Malaysia Airlines System have 127, 741 fans on Facebook and on Twitter with 16951 followers*.
😉 Significant number isn’t? Why?
AirAsia have its own FBML landing page, so Facebookers normally will click LIKE then will bring them to the wall.
Yep, normally with FBML landing page, we will hit LIKE and automatically will bring us to the wall. This is a good way to turn visitors to be a fan. No wonder, AirAsia have more LIKE than Malaysia Airlines System. And what can I see, AirAsia uses Facebook like their online customer services as what we can see on their About Me box.
It is interesting to compare with Malaysia Airlines System 🙂 MAS do not have their FBML landing page, so we can read their wall tab without have to be their fan (sometimes I also lazy to left click my mouse if I do not have to do so). So no need to be their fan because visitors can still read their content. And their “About me” box… sorry to say, not so “KA-CHING!”
Is it important to have a large number of Fan or larger LIKE number? For me, it is important. Larger number means larger market 🙂
